The bill had a public hearing in February 2025 and was retained in committee. It was then passed by the house in January 2026. There is nothing specific to peer support but passage of the bill, which aimed to eliminates DEI efforts, would not only have resulted in discrimination but might have caused non compliance with Civil Rights mandates and jeopardize federal funding of NH Department of Health and Human services.
