New Hampshire House votes to add a 90 day residence requirement for those in need

House Bill 348 Adds a 90 day residence requirement to get local assistance in NH. It applies to town provided general assistance. It is widely believed that this legislation will make it more difficult for vulnerable people to access safety net services.

Federal mental health grants are slashed then restored

After a day of confusion and backroom negotiations, the Trump administration moved Wednesday January 14 to restore roughly $2 billion in federal grant money for mental health and addiction programs nationwide. The grants had been cut the day before without warning.
